  137.                    bring a transparent object in and place it on top of a background the background shows through. For example in the cartoon if you look closely you will notice that you can see the lines defining the planks in the floor showing through Fred Nerd's legs. On the other hand you cannot see the wall through the balloon nor through his face. The way I achieved this

  142. was by bringing in my initial 'transparency' of Fred. I then used the paint brush and fat bits, mostly the paint brush with white selected, to eleminate both Fred and the background. I then brought in a second transparent Fred and set him in this spot aligning this one with the first.
  143.      This is the same technique I used with the 'Dali' Clock and the Macintosh sitting on the table.

  148. Having said this let me add that I don't for a second consider myself an artist nor a cartoon-ist. MouseUP! is interested in hypercard cartoonists. And in desperate need of someone who does digitized sound!
